Today thru Wednesday the Cooling Shelter at 701 Saxon Ave Spartanburg SC aka Northwest Center. A huge thank you to the City of Spartanburg, SC. All staffing is done by our Spartanburg County Community Emergency Response Team so none of this could be done without them...thank you. #moralimperative

More than a name change. It was a long-awaited recognition of service, sacrifice, and excellence in the face of racism and exclusion. For Black America—especially for Black women who’ve long been left out of the spotlight—it felt like something sacred had finally been seen.

From Spartanburg Emergency Services. A cold weather shelter has opened at 701 Saxon Ave Spartanburg. If you need shelter or know someone who might need shelter from the elements, the shelter is open from 8pm to 11am. The shelter will reopen tomorrow night as well, same hours and same location.
