I have played in some gorgeous places in Italy this week, including the auditorium of the Museo del Violino in Cremona, home of Stradivarius. And tonight in Parma's Teatro Regio. A joy always to be in this country and to play for the people here.

On Saturday I'm supposed to fly to South Korea. Well, let's see what the situation is then. That came out of the blue! For the moment I'm going to Vienna where I perform tomorrow in the beautiful Brahms Saal at the Musikverein. Can't wait! And I'm even playing Brahms--his terrific Handel Variations.

Fabulous feeling to be back in Amsterdam's famed Concertgebouw playing Mozart with the Bochum Symphoniker. Packed out at 11 am. Live on Dutch radio. Nothing like that descent (and ascent!) on the huge staircase to get to the stage. And in long dress and high heels! Menahem Pressler did it age 97!
