If I had to explain the purpose of the horror fiction I write in two words or less, “articulate rage” might be it.
Or how women get hurt and the descriptions may help women readers survive and may help men readers be more human in their life but it will not be able to explain what is happening in a way that allows change or even articulate rage adequately. If you do articulate it it stops being literary
