No, I agree. Just frustrated to have got one point from two games we should be winning.

They were, which is a concern as they're not one of the better sides in League 2. Ditto Harrogate, currently 23rd.

Agree. Derby fans I know say he was a decent keeper when he was there. Fair to say he's been a poor fit at Notts though.

That was the Worst!

Exactly!

Even after all these years of relegation/promotion between EFL and NL, there still feels a marked contrast between the traditional old league clubs and those with mainly non-league histories.

Was nice to have a big away following in after some very small away crowds. Made for a much better atmosphere in the ground.
October 5, 2025 at 10:13 AM
It was. And I wouldn't mind, if it wasn't for the fact we're now 10 games in and refs haven't given a monkey's about shirt-pulling before this, penalty area or anywhere else on the pitch.

Credit to Paterson on the substitutions today. Crawley had no answer to Luker and Hall when they came on.
September 20, 2025 at 6:22 PM
Sacking Maynard and abandoning our passing style of play was a real backwards step. I'm finding it difficult to warm to Paterson or the messy football on offer. If 6th place and failure in the play-offs warranted a change in manager, how long can Paterson survive if nothing improves, and quickly?

And he's a better coach.
September 13, 2025 at 4:27 PM
We just look desperately mid-table. We're 12th, and I suspect that's about where we'll finish the season. Still, nice to see Maynard off to a flyer at York.
September 13, 2025 at 4:16 PM
Perhaps if his form and attitude hadn't deteriorated at the tail end of last season, he would have been on for a move to a higher lever club. If he wants out, he's doing himself no favours.

Mine seems to have dodgy looking lines across the bar code. At least the one on my phone works.
August 23, 2025 at 1:29 PM
Agreed, it was a shapeless mess at times, and Shrewsbury looked like a poor team, but still, I'm happy with a 4-1 right now. Bromley will certainly be a much tougher test.
August 21, 2025 at 5:11 AM
Good to be the 4-1 up least poor though!
August 20, 2025 at 8:37 PM
I am concerned at the apparent reliance on the long ball over a passing game. Hopefully, a one-off rather than a new approach. Roos shouldn't carry all the blame for the second goal. He was put under needless pressure by some shocking defending, particularly by Platt, who had an awful game.
August 10, 2025 at 10:47 AM
No panic. For 70 mins we were very poor, looking shapeless, lethargic and ill disciplined. Lost possession easily and played far too many long balls from the back. But, the last 20 mins showed a much more capable and promising side.
August 10, 2025 at 9:44 AM
Referee was poor, but nowhere near as poor as Notts who need to own that shocking performance. Bar the last 15 mins, Notts looked ill disciplined and clueless. With Williams and Maynard, you knew what the plan was, even if it didn't work. I have no idea what the plan was today. Neither did the team.

Worst home performance since that season.
August 9, 2025 at 1:13 PM
It's been awful so far.
