I really wouldn't put it past AI companies to take advantage of high unemployment rates in the animation industry like this.

I love my art friends outside of the US too, and love artists from around the world. Politics is now wanting to make connections between people from different countries harder and quarantine the US by itself.

Also, does the term "animator" still even exist in the United States, much less 2D animator? Cause I've noticed most of the most talented animators today are from most everywhere in the world except the US (who aren't storyboard artists, also very talented)

The article explained something that companies just don't get with film restoration. With converting digital or even analog to film, the raw materials (cels, digital files, etc.) seldom exactly matched the film prints in color terms, and different film stocks processed colors in different ways.

Pixar designed Toy Story to be printed on physical film. The Disney renaissance movies were the same.
Today, it's hard to see them as they were meant to be seen. The versions on streaming and home media aren't quite the same films that ruled the '90s:

Doodling my Chua Warrior, Meldita from memory. I've been in a mood to do more art of my MMO characters again lately. I didn't get much time with Meldita as my other characters since Chua Warriors were introduced late in the games life, but I loved playing them SO MUCH.

Has anyone else noticed that their phone's keyboards are getting... stupider?
My phone actually AVOIDS capitalizing "i" and sometimes I'll need to edit an entire paragraph after the fact because I'll manually type in a difficult word and it'll change it.
My going theory is that this is modern AI.

Lrt one of my biggest struggles throughout my life... it's either I'm too anxious to reach out to friends out of fear of pestering them, or making friends, screwing up and annoying them unknowingly, and breaking ties. In both cases they're gone, and I really just wish finding a balance was easier.

One of the problems with being neurodivergent is that the amount of people you feel understands you is so small that it's impossible to build up a meaningful support system over time. By the time you find one, they're already gone. Not sure how to find what I'm looking for.
