That’s my top 10.

They won’t match yours. That’s the point.

These are the games that shaped how I play, how I build my setups, and why I care about gaming at all.

What’s in *your* top 10?

Final Fantasy X

The characters in this game just had heart! They made the world feel alive! The story really punches you in the gut though. I dare you not to tear up at that ending!

Also: Blitzball forever. Don’t @ me.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The physics alone make this game worth it! Instead of the game telling you "No" you can't do that, the only limit was your imagination! Multiple ways to solve puzzles, fun tools, and a great story!

A game that respected my time and intelligence.

Chrono Cross

Yes, Cross — not Trigger. The soundtrack alone earns its place. Very unique world, with fun branching paths! I have replayed this game at least 15-20 times and still do.

Very special place in my heart!

Dark Souls

I had attempted this game several times, but it was Elden Ring that finally made me realize what this one was all about, and it finally clicked!

This is a wonderful game and a very well crafted and interconnected world!

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

My first fully completed 3D game!Formative. Learning to game in 3 dimensions was so crazy to me at the time that we didn't even notice it ran at like 20 fps.

Today's mainline Zelda games and many others still trace some mechanics back to this game's success.

Horizon: Zero Dawn

A world I didn’t want to leave. This was such a cool concept and original world when I saw the first gameplay trailer in 2015. I remember picking this up and never putting it down for weeks!

Also: shooting off robo-dino parts never got old.

God of War (2018)

This was a perfect reinvention of Kratos! The emotional tones hit hard and even harder in the sequel. Combat felt weighty, intentional, and challenging!

A father-son story with gravity.

Final Fantasy IX

Peak comfort game. I replayed this one endlessly. Art style, music, pacing — all timeless. Vivi is the man!

Defined what I love in RPGs! And has some of the best character arcs to this day!

Legend of Dragoon

My first real JRPG obsession. The literal reason I got my first job to save for a PlayStation. The story and world is still so unique, even if the voice acting is cringe.

I STILL come back to this game because I remember it so fondly.

Elden Ring

The one that made open worlds feel handcrafted again. Exploration and curiosity are rewarded above all else, and it respects your ability to learn without holding your hand.

No map markers, no tutorials, and the world is your teacher!
