Feels like ministers are on a mission to say they’re using AI for everything in an effort to sound modern & forward thinking

Reliance on buzzwords like this just annoy everyone who understands there is context around individual schools, the attendance & their subsequent attainment

AI chucked in by DfE in an effort to make it sound forward thinking

In reality it will just annoy everyone who understands context

Hi, have you got details of the new initiative?

Is there additional money to come with it?

I’ve looked on the DfE and Number10 sites and can’t see any announcements

Also with an honourable mention is Henry Dimbleby, another Etonian who likes preaching down to the poor about what they should and shouldn’t be eating

It would be remiss of me not too post this classic clip

I’m reminded of a conversation between @missmc.bsky.social & my son (who was studying Criminology)

The Tory shires are full of people wanting harsher punishments & longer sentences

But none of these self same people would accept a prisons being built anywhere near their constituency

I am confident I know the costs in the uk system well enough to say £2 per meal is ludicrous
November 8, 2025 at 10:26 PM
It’s really difficult to make comparisons to different systems in different countries with different definitions of costs

No where in England could do a meal for £2

The wages alone come to almost that

Then the utilities are a significant proportion

Then the ingredients, which are going up

Show me a link

In England the cost of a school meals, as it is and at the current quality, is £3.50

Are you sure that’s not just ingredients
