Snap fella! Got back last week from a fortnight in Bol, on the Croatian island of Brac!
As you say, such a nice part of the world.
And that crystal clear, calm sea… even I can stay afloat in that!

I’ve found a lot of interesting stuff in this series of podcasts about that period…

Was able to trace where my Nan lived as a young woman on there, helping her mum with the laundry business that was run out of the side of their home. We tracked it down via the address on a letter she’d written to our grandad who was recovering after being gassed & wounded during WW1.

He did ok but in his second season did his ankle ligaments - twice… ended up playing a bit of semi-pro around London/Essex…

Back then my boy was playing at one of Luton Town’s development centres, so I always had the sounds on making the journey up.
A few CD’s were on repeat in the motor and ‘Favourite Worry’ was one of them 👌
