Would like to say I sat in a wheat field for 12 weeks waiting for this shot, but alas no. It’s was taken when I visited a harvest mouse workshop in Dorset. It’s still one of the best photos I took that year even if it wasn’t as sharp as I’d like. Would make a good caption competition

Light plays a big part of photography, so getting up at 4am in the summer to get the first light of the day after searching for my subject, in this case a female marbled white butterfly was hard, especially considering I like my sleep 😂 #ukwildlife #butterfly #macrophotography

When i sit and watch birds like this Buzzard effortlessly gliding low over a marsh looking for prey, you quickly realise that nature is indeed very special. It’s a privilege to be part of it, and medicine for mental health
