Trump, Vance and Musk are monsters! History will judge this administration as one of the worst governments in history. They are crashing the economy and wrecking people’s lives for personal gain. That’s as bad as it gets.

Zelensky is fighting on two fronts - he deserves more support than he’s getting from Europe and the democrats in the US

Goodbye Cambodia 🇰🇭, hello Thailand 🇹🇭

Hard to see on this picture but this is the Vietnam 🇻🇳 Cambodia 🇰🇭 river border on the Mekong. Great way to cross. Passports stamped on the way out and then five minutes up the river, for Cambodia border control & fingerprints. 6 hrs including the border stop from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh. Better than ✈️

It took me to leave the country for #Newcastle to win their first trophy in 56 years. Congratulations from Saigon. A brilliant performance

From the (fascinating) War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City. The US don’t come out of this story well but there are so many parallels with today. This is one!

Just starting a 16 hour train journey from Da Nang to Saigon. Got a great 2 person sleeper carriage & free food & drink. Not completely roughing it.

Inspired headline from @rollingstone.com for the review of the new Sam Fender album. It’s a brilliant album, destined to be a classic IMO (I’d give it *****)

They’ve now found a suitable sized indoor venue for Trump’s inauguration

Musk is as dangerous as Putin. He’s happy to use his money to destabilise and interfere in other countries and spread hate. It’s not enough for those who agree to leave X. European Governments’ (including ours) have to address it

I’m sure he’s right. No sensible leader hoping to bring down the cost of living would put tariffs on its major trading partners. Trump talks nonsense - it’s all show and we just need to focus on what he does rather than says! It’s exhausting but he’s just a needy child wanting attention #trump

If anything sums up how depressing global politics is now, it’s this. We had an election literally 4 months ago! And we’re one of the only electorates not (yet) taken in by right wing populists. That seems to bother people.

You know it’s nearly Christmas in Gosforth when “Big Santa” makes an appearance. He’s a bit wet today

Posting this as @UKLabour not on here yet. On the margins there will always be those who suffer ☹️ but I hope those against make alternative suggestion. Scrapping inheritance tax for all / not taxing those with wealth affects public services & increases inequality. BTW…if we hadn’t voted for Brexit 🤷‍♂️
