The Big Match Revisited, 4/10/75, Coventry City 1 Burnley 2. Burnley were given a free kick in injury time for the keeper handling the ball outside the box on a goal kick which clearly wasn't handball but Leighton James scored from the free kick for the win!

Burnley have had some great goalkeepers in recent years but Alan Stevenson was my childhood hero between the sticks. 543 games, 2nd most in Burnley history. What a fantastic keeper he was. #burnleyfc

4 different orchid species on the Fylde sand dunes wildflower walk today at St Annes. These are, I think, Northern Marsh, Pyramidal, Common Spotted and Early Marsh. Privileged to be playing a small part in the Fylde Sand Dunes Project www.lancswt.org.uk/our-work/pro...

Restharrow on the Fylde Sand Dunes at St Annes. So named because it has roots so thick and tough that it would stop the harrow implement used to break up the soil to get ready for planting #peafamily #wildflowerhour

Fascinating walk yesterday courtesy of the RNLI at St Annes. As the sea channel of the River Ribble was prone to moving they built 'training walls' to keep it straight as far out as 15 miles from Preston docks. It's a 1.5 mile walk out from St Annes at low tide and really interesting to see.

My belated pub of the month for April is Hatters Craft Bar on St James Row in Burnley. It has been a couple of different pubs in recent years but definitely worth a visit with the new owners who are running it really well. Oh and it's also very cheap!

PNE might well go down next week but according to Paul Heckingbottom they'd be in the play offs if it wasn't for the refs 🤣🤣🤣
