Steven Kostanski crafts a love letter to 80s and 90s filmmaking and the fun of Deathstalker 2! Bernhardt is fantastic but the true star are the practical in camera effects. So many wonderful creatures, make up, gore and violence effects. An absolute blast from start to finish!

Scott Adkins and James Nunn work magic together and have created some of the most immersive and technically impressive action films to date. Knowing they get to finish their trilogy with ONE LAST SHOT is incredible news! Another classic incoming!!

Justin Kurzel and Zach Baylin craft an expertly paced thriller that feels like a throwback to gritty old school filmmaking. Chilling real life story that feels even more relevant today. Law and Smollett are terrific while Hoult and Sheridan deliver career best performances.

Rewatch complete of Ritchie’s great WW2 action comedy banger. One of the most attractive casts in recent memory and each one is totally hooked up. Cool characters, bloody action and a great score. Possibly the best use of Cavill’s natural charisma and screen presence to date!

Rewatch complete of one of Jet Li’s best. Amazing choreography by Yuen Woo-Ping and more power powder than ever and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Each fight is a masterclass and Yasuaki Kurata damn near steals the movie. Li vs Chow is one for the ages! Top tier HK action!!

Guillermo del Toro delivers a beautiful, haunting gothic tale of supposed monsters and the true monsters that create them. Expertly paced with moments of shocking violence and gore. Excellent cast with Issac and Elordi giving vastly different and equally compelling performances.

Without a doubt one of the most physically gifted action stars of all time. Gravity defying acrobatics, amazing kicking ability and one of the most likable performers HK cinema has ever seen. From classic Fu flicks to modern day action there’s only one Yuen Biao!
November 8, 2025 at 9:56 PM
Joshua Williamson, Dan Mora and team craft an amazing first issue tie-in of the DC KO event that adds to the discussion that Dick Grayson makes a more efficient Batman. Terrific pacing, jaw dropping artwork and an interesting story make this a must read for Bat family fans!

Iko Uwais’s directorial debut Timur looks intense and action packed. One of the most unique and charismatic action stars giving us fans what we want. Incredibly excited for this.

Dan Trachtenberg delivers a truly unique, visually stunning, surprisingly humorous and heartfelt take on Predator unlike anything that’s come before it in the franchise. Interesting characters, amazing creatures, insane action and a pulse pounding score make this truly special.

Rewatch complete. Dan Trachtenberg gives us the best film in the franchise since the original. Amazingly shot, insanely violent, great effects and an unforgettable score. This movie belongs to Amber Midthunder as she demands your attention and earns her place among classic sci-fi/action stars!

The climatic end fight in Fearless Dragons is an absolute all-timer. Incredible choreography, insane camera work and where else will you see Horse Fist team up with Dragon Fist?! PURE CINEMA!!
November 6, 2025 at 2:36 PM
Rewatch complete of what is essentially kung fu Midnight Run. Entertaining and fun thanks to amazing chemistry between Leung Kar-yan and Phillip Ko. Their end battle with Wang Lung-Wei is an all-timer filled with great camera work, brilliant choreography and perfect editing.

Rewatch complete and while not wilder than original this one has its moments. Cast is solid Esteves still manages to make Billy likable given what a jerk he is while Petersen and Sutherland nearly steal the movie. Solid action set pieces along with that Bon Jovi soundtrack.
November 5, 2025 at 7:15 PM
LICENSE TO STEAL is so close to be an action classic that’s tripped up by humor that doesn’t work and a story that’s all over the place. The action choreography is top notch and gives us an all-timer third act fight with Godenzi, Biao and Chow looking better than ever.
November 5, 2025 at 6:11 PM
Mark Waid and Chris Samnee deliver a near perfect 12 issue series full of dazzling action, truly heartfelt moments and a brilliant overarching story. Waid truly gets these characters and gives us a deeply personal story while Samnee’s art is masterful storytelling at its finest.

I had trepidations going into this season but those were laid to rest and Hemsworth grew on me by the end. Tightly paced fun story that introduces new immediately likable characters and leans more heavily into the action. Great cast with Copley and Fishburne stealing every scene.
November 4, 2025 at 3:53 PM
Rewatch complete of one of Nolan’s most unique films and my appreciation grows with each viewing. Terrific cast, great chemistry between Washington and Pattinson while Branagh chews all the scenery. Innovative action design and story propelled by Göransson’s pulse pounding score.

Entertaining DTV actioner that never overstays its welcome. Minor story issues aside plenty of well staged and choreographed action scenes that give everyone a chance to shone. Solid cast but Lewis Tan steals the movie with his screen presence and elevates the action on display.

Loren Avedon shines in KING OF THE KICKBOXERS but even in a supporting role Keith Cooke reminds everyone he’s one of the greatest kickers in cinematic history. His speed, power and control is mind blowing!!
November 2, 2025 at 6:56 PM
Easily in contender for issue of the year if only for the amazing artistry on display but the story and writing equally stands in its own. @danielwarrenart.bsky.social , James Harren, and Meredith McClaren bring their “A” game to deliver an emotional, timely and action packed comic book.
