While infection-control must be an integral part of healthcare, the current reality is that there's a massive public backswing against anything remotely pandemic response-related.

Given this, we need to be careful that our calls for comprehensive protections - don't become part of the problem. 1/-

A major new review from Yale (Moen, Baker, Iwasaki, 2025) offers the most comprehensive picture yet of what SARS-CoV-2 does to the nervous system.

The conclusion is stark:

Long COVID is a chronic neuroimmune disorder affecting brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves.

It's all about inflammation, look Andrew

During the last years, increasing evidence for the involvement of immune dysregulations in mood disorders has been accumulating with a focus on the inflammatory response system (IRS),

If the pandemic has taught us anything, it's this:-
I'm a professor too, but for some reason I'm not so insecure as to put "Prof" in my Bluesky username. 😂

Too many "profs" I have known are full of shit anyway.

Judge my ideas without being biased by credentials.

We need our media to stop sanewashing the insanity.

When news costs, it creates an opening for brain-washers to operate via podcasts. These are advertisement-supported and are very persistent.
Try listening to Jordan Peterson - a salad of interesting insights but with misogyny in there.
I know it’s only a tiny slice of a shit pie, but locking good reporting behind paywalls for the last decade+ has been a fucking disaster

I pulled apart this kaput LED light bulb. As usual, it's the driver circuitry that has failed long before the LEDs themselves.

When will see DC circuits in buildings to run these efficient lights? Electronics also?

How much energy and resource is being wasted with individual DC drivers?

Long covid = SarsCoV2 carrier state.
In line with many chronic conditions being found to involve persistent pathogens in biofilms or tissue reserves - the connection between LC and viral persistence is increasingly being found.

So.
We had varying responses to SarsCoV2 around the world.
Most people have now decided that resistance is futile.
Many of us still in the resistance feel that this learned helplessness will suddenly change.
I doubt it.
We now need to build resistance from the ground up.
