My review of Holy Cow in the MS. Cracking debut feature about cheese, cows and coming of age. Some wonderful performances by the nonprofessional cast. morningstaronline.co.uk/article/film...

After people have died from lead poisoning or their kids are still-born in large enough numbers. Brilliant, Elon, you goose-stepping, duck-waddling fuck.
“Regulations, basically, should be default gone,” Musk said. “Not default there, default gone. And if it turns out that we missed the mark on a regulation, we can always add it back in.”

"We'd rather be scared together than alone" (Bowie, 1971). So, I recommend Dark Times by Doctors of Madness - perfect listening for a week of doom-laden insanity and megalomania. Richard Strange's lyrics are the perfect reaction to a population sleepwalking its way into a consumerist hell.

My picks for 2024: two wonderful books and a re-released film that dig benearh the surface of British culture and (in very different ways) consider the collision of environment and behaviour.
