Delighted to secure £2000 for my nonprofit, @justincludeuk from Durham University’s Venture Lab’s social impact fund.

This will allow Just Include to expand UK wide this year and develop a second programme to educate, empower and stand up for disabled people in decision making.

I’m delighted to have been invited to deliver a keynote speech and a Q&A at the Westminster Forum Projects “Next steps for supporting disabled students in Higher Education” - Higher Education Policy forum conference tomorrow (26/02/25)

🌟 In November, A motion and Private Members’ Bill to strengthen disability rights by requiring public authorities to comply with UNCRPD was tabled in the NI Assembly that I assisted an MLA and his team with over the last 2 years.

I’m excited for what 2025 will bring!

⭐️ In September:

•I joined the UK Young Gamechangers Fund steering group as a consultant with Restless Development.

•I attended the OneYoungWorld Montreal summit and met Justin Trudeau!

•I started studying Politics and International Relations at Trevelyan University , Durham University.

🌟 In June, I spoke on BBC Radio 4’s today programme on the General Election as a young and disabled person.

🌟 In April, I secured £1,000 in seed funding from Unloc UK to launch @justincludeuk in September.

🌟 In May, Belfast’s Avenue Cinema install a first of its kind audio description system in the UK. Which I had assisted with over the last year

2024 has been an incredible year! Highlights include:

🌟 January, I was nominated onto the NI Department of Education’s Youth Reference Group to review Priorities for Youth policy.

⭐️ March, gave evidence to UN inquiry on UK government’s treatment of disabled people.

I’m thrilled to see the bill and motion I’ve worked on with Danny Donnelly MLA begin its journey! Tomorrow, Danny will urge the Minister to incorporate the UNCRPD into NI law and plans to propose a Bill ensuring public authorities uphold their responsibilities. Have your say: lnkd.in/eHcjGbq7
