Also I think the essence of the story (which his point is a big part) is that it’s hard to keep investing in a product when the initial piece is so poorly executed. If the pilot episode isn’t great and there’s no solid plan for the first season, usually the show doesn’t get picked up!

Obviously true for this moment. Although we were unwilling to build a functional network route even through better times. Funding for the Benning extension was always a political football (pun intended) even while running a surplus and before the stadium deal.
