I take your point - and it shouldn’t draw attention away from the ridiculousness of VAR - but I guess my feeling is that we will get legitimate corners given against us and if we defend those like that then we’re set up to fail?

Yeah, but then I guess he’d say he’s not had the cash to spend? And maybe all parties can sense this is the last year so it’s drifting a bit? Done a hell of a job there though

Yeah, seems so. Bet most would? Just to give them that cushion? If we’re not willing or able to pay for Silva (or if he doesn’t want to come) then a two year deal wouldn’t be that bad would it?

Yeah, definitely had the temperament & nous back in the day. Just feels Dyche could hit the ground running and ‘understand the assignment’ quicker? We’ve wasted too much time already. If we can be tough to beat by Christmas it might not be too late to make the knockouts in Europe to rescue something

I don’t really know what he’s been up to recently? Been out to pasture in international management? Feels more of a risk and my appetite for those is low…!

It’s been a circus hasn’t it? We’ve had plenty of ‘stay in your lane’ nonsense but since Ange was appointed it’s all been about him, his trophy thing and his ‘that’s the way we play’ vibe. I’d feel sorrier if he didn’t try to change the tune himself (on and off the pitch)
