I started making this blanket during surgery recovery, finished it this week, and my dog immediately claimed it. But she will share it with me sometimes 😂

I spent last weekend in the mountains for a church retreat. The fall colors were vibrant, but the best part was the time spent connecting with the other women, laughing, crying, praying together.

We get two choices in every situation.
1. Who do I want to be in the middle of this?
2. Who do I want to be on the other side?
Do I want to be staid, stuffy, solemn, the way *they* taught me? Or do I want to be open - to love, growth, expressing joy?
I'm glad to be in a place where I choose joy.

Today is an interesting milestone, my marriage has been over as long as it lasted (13 years and 12 days).
I have mixed feelings about still being single today. I'm okay, just a small amount of melancholy as "crucial evidence I didn't imagine the whole thing." But I can probably pass this test, too.
