He resigned from office in August 2021 after finding himself on the brink of impeachment, following a state investigation that found he had sexually harassed 11 women. Cuomo’s misconduct included “unwelcome and nonconsensual touching,” such as butt grabbing and out-of-the-blue kisses, as well as making sexually “suggestive” comments to subordinates and generally creating a “hostile work environment for women,” according to state investigators. Last year, a settlement agreement between the New York State Executive Chamber and the U.S. Department of Justice stated that Cuomo had sexually harassed at least 13 former and current state employees while in power, with his senior staff ignoring his conduct and retaliating against some of his accusers. While in his resignation speech, Cuomo claimed to “accept full responsibility for my actions,” he has since denied the allegations against him. Throughout his mayoral campaign, he dismissed the findings of the investigations into his conduct as politically motivated." "I started thinking about this book in 2021. The Supreme Court had taken up the case that would end up being Dobbs, and everybody who worked in repro knew that Roe was on its way out. I was talking to a friend of mine who paid a lot of attention to the Supreme Court. She was telling me that, because she was worried about Roe disappearing, whenever she got close to having an orgasm with her partner, she would hear Brett Kavanaugh’s voice in her head." "Oh no." "It was not sexy, as you might imagine, and kind of threw a wrench into the whole having-an-orgasm thing. I thought, The end of Roe is probably coming. What does that mean for people’s sex lives? Are people thinking about this? I started reporting that question out, and what I found was that, generally, no, people were not thinking about how the end of Roe could impact their sex lives, because most people just didn’t believe that it could be overturned."

This an excellent review of Bad Bunny's latest album by @craigsj.bsky.social and I wanna add that Benito is just explicitly saying what many Puerto Ricans, in the island and the diaspora, believe to be true: Statehood is not liberation. It is the culmination of 500 years of colonization.
