curious to all my fellow fg game devs out there:
If you know a character is not very good at high level but is very strong and noticeably causing issues at low/mid level play, what do you do? Do you nerf the bad character?
feels like this is a character that needs a rework but that takes time!!

Painful confession: players had to force me to add the Grid stage to my fighting game(s). I hated seeing it everywhere and so I originally decided NOT TO ADD IT. It took some convincing and @skreamnredskull.rize.pro composing a theme for it to finally win me over. The song survived 3 games already😅

If you like fighting games with both strong offensive and defensive options, assists, and multiple fighting styles/grooves to choose from, you should play my game when it comes out in 2 days :)

Heatwave's last major update, will be available on NOVEMBER 12!!! It will also be releasing on steam then as well. Most notably, it will contain a ~100k word visual novel story mode, and 4 new "secret" characters, along with balance changes, and bug fixes. ❤️

btw, the minimum price on itch will be increasing when the update is released, from 5$ to 10$, to reflect everything I've added over the years since the first early access release (12 more characters, arcade mode, survival mode, combo trials, story mode, etc...)

Here's a combo with another one of the new secret characters, "Trois", he's Sparrow's boss? roommate? sugar daddy? it's not very clear... to find out how they really feel about each other, you'll have to play through the game's story mode :)
