Critical theory, Critique of political economy, philosophy, social theory; Too old for this shit.
Det sägs det. Han blev så småningom känd som "strejkprofessorn" och blev medlem av SPD.

Tönnies kanske hade velat skriva det, men vågade inte. Han skrev Smith men menade Marx.

When I read it I see "Gegenstand" and "Ding" and it is not the same thing. I guess that's the way Reitter also sees it.

You mean being an object and being a thing is synonymous? I can't follow you there.
November 11, 2025 at 11:26 PM
Well, I'm not a native speaker in English, so perhaps I'm not as sensitive to the strangeness of objecthood. As a reader of Marx in German it seems to me to be an improvement, but maybe something better could come up.
November 11, 2025 at 5:04 PM
I think the point is that it should be strange.

Could be. Anyway I get the impression that Heinrich appreciates Reitters translation. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRjs...

Which one of them has actually translated Marx?
November 11, 2025 at 2:11 PM
Du anar inte hur många gamla sextioåttor som rekommenderat mig att läsa den. Jag trodde inte att du var en av dem.😃
November 11, 2025 at 2:07 PM
Är du allvarlig?
November 11, 2025 at 11:10 AM
Instämmer. Börja med Minima Moralia. (Den hade Therborn inte läst när han skrev sin pamflett. Senare erkände han i berusat tillstånd hur bra den är.)
November 11, 2025 at 11:08 AM
Which one of them?

En tröttsam posör.
November 5, 2025 at 8:13 PM
Yes, in 1976 it was mainstream to talk about laws.
November 5, 2025 at 8:06 PM
Just shows that it has become a mainstream thing to say -although correct.

Had he been around in 1976 he would have dismissed the Fowkes for the Moore/Engels of 1887.

Her academic jargon is unbearable.

Brown can be passed over in silence.

Now he responded that he took some classes in German. Still he seems to thing "prridge" is a better translation of Weizen than wheat.
November 3, 2025 at 9:28 PM
The best so far.

If Mandel was right there capitalism would have been over and done by now.

And he was jewish. But neither him or his father had any connections to the circle around IfS.
November 3, 2025 at 9:15 PM
Also, I wrote to him tonight in a post on Facebook about Reutens review of Reitter, but he has not answered.
