because he has put out several statements claiming that the officers are keeping the peace.

I get the impression that the ISP are just mad they didn't get the sign-on bonus that the J6-ers who joined ICE did and are taking their aggression out on their fellow citizens. But @govpritzker.illinois.gov needs to get a handle on them or fire the Director. Otherwise he's only flapping his gums.
