keeping a memory is the thing that held me back
but now i make tons of screenshots rn
so its still archived and i can let go of that place

I wore the cosplay with my friends to DeDeCo 2020 - right before Covid and then for Bookfair 2023
Unfortunately I never got around to taking pretty photos of it even if i really like how it turned out

The last part was all some more details on the boots, some bows, pins and the wig

While doing that i learned that when you dyed something with iDyePoly and dye it again - it first loses the previous dyed colour
not sure if that is different for different materials
it it made redying the fur easier

Next was the bolero - i had to dye some fake fur for it bc i couldn't find some in the right colour
I dyed it twice before i could get the right shade

Then i frankenstein some lace on some skin toned tulle - handsewing that lifted my mood, then i could add some gold ruffles and then i was finally finished with that piece!
I was so relieved it was done~

Fixed that so i could actually try it on ... but that zipper broke AGAIN
Mentally that was a really hard time for me bc i was frustrated and felt like i failling again and again
but i pushed through so i could finish the costume~

... and then the bodice was a cursed.
First i burned the white fabric while ironing on the patches.
After i replaced the burned fabric i sewed on the patches by hand, added a lining, a zipper and then the zipper broke before i even tried it on

For the bodice i began with making a base an lay a pattern with gold iron on patches on it - its not exactly like in the reference but its close enough for me

Next was the skirt!
I lined it with tulle to make it a lil bit more stable because the added weight of the pearls
The tulle also helps holding ruffles in place
