Had to unravel the hat twice, because it was big enough for three heads, then two. I think it’s the right circumference now!
On a blue and white Welsh blanket (woven squares, sort of), there is a variegated turquoise ball of yarn and the beginning of a top-down hat knit in that yarn. The crown of the hat occupies the top left, and the ball is underneath, leaning towards the right.

And now some ER knitting.
(I’m not in mortal peril, but I can’t get an appointment with a doctor, so the ER it is. The public healthcare system is a mess, for patients and healthcare professionals.)

I had not knit for over a week, but I managed a pattern repeat last night. 🧶
On a washed out yellow background, there lies the beginning of a handknit a multicolour shawl. The reds, blues, and purples are rich jewel tones, and there are occasional splashes of bright fuchsia pink. Most of the shawl is knit in stockinette stitch, AKA plain knit, but there are some yarn overs, AKA deliberate holes, on the right side. Starting at the top tip, the shawl gets wider the lower one looks.

This is what I am knitting now. Amazing yarn by Bona Yarns. Pattern is #CloseToYou by Justyna Lorkowska/Letesknits. It has been several days since I knit, but I look forward to continuing tomorrow! 🧶

The yarn colours are fuchsia, red of various depths, blue, and purple. The fuchsia provided flashes of bright colour, but the jewel tones are overall quite distinguished.

My latest finished object is Forward by Julie Knits in Paris. Here is a close-up of it pre-blocking.

Below, the same colours are used for stranded colourwork, with fuchsia chevrons appearing over the variegated colours. At the bottom, the fuchsia yarn is used to make a solid brioche rib.
