I like TV that exists right up in the viewers business. How to Die Alone is trying to shake all of us awake

So plantain skin might be the best thing to smoke with ever. Any other suggestions for papers?

I have tried all year to get new glasses and I have not had enough money at any point. I’m on and old prescription and these are literally hanging on by a thread. When I figure out the best price I can get I’m gonna start posting to raise $. All I want for Christmas is 20/20

My partner growing up in Ireland is so funny because when we show each other classics from our childhood the juxtaposition goes crazy

It’s my first time doing a Bluesky post for #mutualaid but I’ve exhausted my options.

I need to make it to payday in a week but I have to leave this housing by tomorrow at 12pm EST.

If you can help us reach our goal of $80 by then, please give or share!

Currently @ 5/$80 (thanks K)

That’s the end of the thread originally posted to Twitter on 1/18/24 and here’s a screenshot of an interaction where someone caught my mistake!

The delivery methods were also interesting to me. CW what happened girl? I thought we were young fresh and diverse. Not you letting freeform outpace you!
ABC was in their bag

These are the shows that had already ended at the time compared to their Roten Tomato’s audience score out of 10. Pitch I miss you so much ❤️

In the next tweet you’ll see how long the outliers are and many of those shows started in that 2015-2017 growth period. But all of those shows were standout cultural phenoms!

Lightning in a bottle! And the data suggest Black women have to get that every time to hit 4 seasons
November 7, 2024 at 6:41 PM
So I looked at the data one season at a time. This is how those seasons of TV spread out 2015 - 2022

Almost a quarter of Black woman Led TV seasons over that 7 year period aired in 2021?!?!

Let’s talk about this a lil!
November 7, 2024 at 6:40 PM
These were the shows I included in my list.

I believe the criteria was Live action, adult or all ages programming , for ensembles- 50% or more in core cast are Black women

Pink & White is streaming and the other is cable
November 7, 2024 at 6:39 PM
I did a huge look at Black Woman Led Live Action TV series 2015-2022 and YIKES!

Few shows ever get 3 season. Remove outliers (ex. Scandal) and it’s 2 seasons or less.

And when they’re *made* by Black women they’re higher rated but get less seasons

Some data snapshots 🧵:
