Not sure what respect they're talking about but it seems that America, or at least its government, are the laughing stock of the whole world (even their best friend Russia laughs at America)

The world is realizing that America under this administration is not to be trusted, respected or followed under any circumstance. We have become the two-faced friend who undercuts us at every turn. We dump that friend to protect ourselves.
