In Trump v. Wilcox in May the SCOTUS made clear that “for cause” protections apply to members of the Federal Reserve Board. Which means a tweet from Trump’s Fed Housing Finance Chair claiming that Cook committed mortgage fraud constitutes “cause.” And that’s bogus.

This must be fought.
It’s hard to overstate how big a deal this is - for the economy (ours and globally), for the rule of law, and for the proper and efficient function of government.
