Heading out in my Coorie-in Poncho. Still my favourite layering piece.

I’m wearing my red one over the top of my grey wool coat. A bold splash of colour on an otherwise grey day.

Have you knitted a Coorie In Poncho? How do you like to style yours?

Platform 8/9W at Edinburgh Waverley is, without a doubt, the coldest place in the whole city. Grateful for the scalding latte from Nero currently warding off frostbite.

I might not take this jumper off until Spring Equinox. Design: Extra Texture by Stephen West. Yarn: Drops Lima held with Isager Alpaca 1 in Shade 17 and a random cone of dark burgundy laceweight alpaca silk from my stash.

I’ve been busy adding names in my book for the 2025 My Word Goddess Readings. Such a joy to see so many familiar names as folk return year after year. Knowing that these readings form such a loving and supportive element to this time of year makes my heart glad. amypalko.com/2025-my-word...

Dinner tonight is salmon served with broccoli cheese gratin and season 2 of Charmed for company. Wondering what 90s show you missed out on first time round?

Wow! Super chilly down here at the shore. Temps have really fallen in #Edinburgh. Glad for my woolies. Today’s knits: Jojo Tricot’s Lili’s Bobble Sweater, Joji Locatelli’s Starting Point Shawl and Purl Soho’s Slip Stitch Handwarmers. Super cosy. #knitfaststaywarm #wearyourknits

A wee intro - I’m an Edinburgh-based goddess guide and astrologer with a focus on goddess asteroids. I’m also a knitter & knitwear designer who podcasts over on YT (The Meaningful Stitch). I particularly love to knit shawls aka soulskins. Loves swans & seals & Mary Oliver poems. 🧶🦢🪐🦭

Sunday morning and I’m fixing a mistake in my knitting that was virtually invisible to everybody but me.

Just attended the most wonderful Faculty of Astrological Studies seminar on Progressions by Toby Aldren. Fascinating, inspiring, touching. So grateful.

Saw The Wild Robot last weekend. Empty-nesters - take your tissues - this one was up there with Ladybird for me. I nearly went through a whole pack of handy andys.

Trawling through astrological ephemeris gathering data on goddess asteroid transits of 2025 to add into the upcoming My Word Goddess Readings. A lot of work but so excited to include the asteroid info this time! #goddessguidance

Spotted some stray purl stitches in my current WIP. Trying to find it in myself to be ok with it, but oh, my inner perfectionist is vexed. Vexed, I tell you!

The full Taurus moon is so bright that it has changed the depth of night into a time of gloaming. I would take a photo but anything I captured wouldn’t do it justice. Instead, close your eyes & bring to mind a beautiful big full moon illuminating a thin veil of cloud… There. Now you see it too, yes?
