And here is the twist in the tale. The magnets aren't strong. The filter falls out with a small jolt. I'm a wildlife filmmaker, the camera is not going to be on smooth gimbals or static tripods. It will be bumped. And who knows, I could scratch both the sensor and the back of the lens!

I had to prize away one of the little magnets millimetres away from the sensor glass. One wrong move and I've scratched it.
Thankfully, it's fine. But that was less than ideal.
