#Scientist friends how are you doing? I am so tired of 2025 for so many reasons.

Will 2026 be better or what?

I'm concerned about the health research community rushing to *require* patient/public involvement (PPI) for all methodological research.

I am on my way home to Toronto and the aurorae are absolutely phenomenal.

If you are anywhere in the northern half of the continent, get outside and look up! Or better still, put your camera on a 10 second exposure and point it up.

Paper gets 2 positive reviews & 1 very critical one

Authors work very very hard on R&R

Journal sends it back to critical reviewer (only) and 1 new reviewer

Critical reviewer is quite positive about revision

New reviewer is negative

Editor sits on reviews for 1 month, then rejects

Authors sad

Taking time this Sunday to prepare myself to ruin the workplace tomorrow.

Ahh, the life of a woman.

Especially the part about attachments (I will not open it!) I also wouldn't provide links to Google Scholar or ORCid, rather, just provide details required for people to search on their own.

Isn't this missing the point? One should be able to feel satisfied that locking your bike and garage means that people will not break in or cut your lock and drive away. It's like telling women they asked to be assaulted because they dressed a certain way.

Thank you, Instagram algorithm, for showing me uterus socks. I really do love them. Sometimes you get it right. Xo

@calgary.ca has a crime problem. Especially as it relates to bikes. Our locked garage has been broken into twice. Two of our bikes have been stolen twice. Yesterday, while my husband was at an appointment-- in broad daylight-- someone cut the lock and rode off with his bike.

Do something!

and I proudly introduced the 'No More Skyboxes' Bill.

Bill 202 ensures that the honour and privilege of public office remain focused on serving Albertans rather than serving their friends and insiders. /1

Man, someone I know who is trying to immigrate to America right now was told they have to list all the social media accounts they’ve ever had in the last 5 years and set it all to public.

For those university offices that are closed from noon to 1pm: A reminder that 11:56am is not noon.
