Saying you’re apolitical isn’t just a cop out. It’s a cop out that you can only take if you reasonably believe you have nothing to be afraid of.

One of the coolest things about art is that it can be really intentionally profound, or it can just sit there lookin’ cool and letting people decide what it means to them. Sometimes what it means to someone is more profound than the artist ever even imagined. And other times it just looks cool.
