Paying both the cow and cat taxes in one photo: these are our fosters, Buddy and Brava

I had hip replacement surgery and apparently the guy just before me was officially surgery #25,000 so he got streamers on the door to his room, social media promotions, balloons, candy. All I got was this lousy photo. 😂

So Twin Cities Orthopedics reached a milestone today: 25,000 surgeries. They had a big celebration in the lobby of the recovery facility with Surgery #25,000 Dude, the surgeon, social media photos… balloons and photos and candy.

Guess who was surgery #25,001. 😂

Went to a Brampton Steelheads jr league hockey game while on vacation in Toronto and the players emerged from the mouth of a giant inflatable angry trout as if they were being vomited up and it was the best thing ever.

This is a picture of two cats who almost perished this morning because their food was one hour later than usual.

I discovered that a squirrel had taken just one bite out of a tomato and relocated it to our calabrachoa basket. I’m sure it had its reasons.

Our newest foster, Brava, was in a kennel at a shelter for a full year. She's overweight from lack of exercise but she's really loving having stairs to run up and down and a cat friend to chase. Anyone in the Cities looking for two cuddly cat buddies to join your home, let me know.

Kind of a momentous decision, trying to decide on my first post on a new platform. Decided to go with a photo of my happy place, Mono Lake in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, because my heart right now is with all the folks in southern CA facing devastating loss of life and property.
