I can't get over the fact that they scheduled a televised Cabinet meeting, hyped it as a major event, planned it all out to show how active and in control Trump is ... and then he dozed off in the middle of it. Repeatedly.

Ahem.
The spectacle was billed as honoring the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday.

In reality, the event was just one part of the Trump administration’s vast, billion-dollar government effort to make the leader feel good about himself.
Trump's Military Birthday Parade Was a Gross Failure
Trump got the expensive military parade he wanted on his birthday, courtesy of Lockheed Martin, Palantir, and American taxpayers.

Some thoughts about the military parade in my hometown of Washington DC today -- specifically, the route. Military parades in DC are quite rare. But when they happen, they have always begun, symbolically and geographically, at the Capitol and moved outward. 1/

Undocumented immigrants contribute nearly $100 billion in taxes every year.

Meanwhile, the wealthiest 1% dodge $163 billion in taxes annually.

The real drain on America isn’t coming from the border — it’s coming from the boardroom.

44% of all American children benefit from Medicaid or SNAP.

Republicans' budget guts both programs.

Yes: the so-called "party of family values" is putting 34 MILLION kids' health care access and food security at risk.

Jefferson Griffin tried to win an election by disenfranchising military voters serving overseas

That’s awful

Worse-his attempt was limited only to troops from Democratic counties

That’s craven

This is what the Republican Party has become

A cabal of anarchists without any values-save one

Power
Riggs: My opponent—there are a hundred counties in North Carolina. He picked four of the most Democratic counties and challenged the military and overseas voters in those four counties only.

We were gratified that the federal court yesterday upheld every one of the arguments we made..

Has anyone noticed that the Republican discourse about North Carolina’s storm recovery vanished after the election? Nothing. Not a peep from them.

Probably because they don’t want you to know THEY LITERALLY DENIED FUNDING FOR NORTH CAROLINA THIS WEEK!

Crazy how that works!

Trump and his cronies peddle the myth we’re “Washington bureaucrats.”

But 85% of federal workers live outside D.C.

We help vets in Phoenix, inspect meat in Iowa, fight fires in Montana, and run weather models in Oklahoma.

We work for all Americans, every day.
