The Trilogy is Complete
The idea for this series began seven years ago at the Trenton (now NJ) Punk Rock Flea Market. The day was long, but filled with excellent conversation between vendors and visitors. We were still a young publisher, trying to figure out where we fit within the great publishing landscape. We knew we wanted to publish one-of-a-kind stories filled with different perspectives and experiences. Being in that welcoming space while building a creative, meaningful journey became the catalyst for a series of books about the true nature of New Jersey. Not the ridiculous caricatures and jokes portrayed in television and film, but the true spirit of the state - the one we were experiencing that weekend in the old Roebling Wire Works.   We created our titles from significant attributes that we feel make up New Jersey. The World Takes, our first book, is an homage to the “Trenton Makes, the World Takes” bridge - a reminder of the dreams and hard work that so many generations have put into building New Jersey. The award-winning Stay Salty represents both the delicious salt water taffy from the Shore and the grit and determination of Garden State inhabitants. Finally, Disco Fries & Scenic Drives is a love letter to the diners that have nourished us and the drives that continue to inspire us.    This mighty trio represents our past, present, and our future as Read Furiously. Thanks for being along for the ride.

@readfuriously is playing Name That Tune with the One 'n Done series. We all picked out a song to represent our books, and now folks get to try to match them up for prizes. Or just enjoy this ridiculously eclectic playlist.

My yearly reminder for Free Comic Book Day:

Select comics are free for you, but they are NOT free for the stores; they pay money to have them in stock.

So grab your free books, have a good time, but if you can, please purchase a comic book and/or graphic novel while you’re there! Support your LCS!

Mary Shelly scholars must be having a field day with the fact that no matter what they do Elon Musk's AI keeps telling the world that he's a horrible person.

Congrats, everyone—the Elon boycott is working! Reports indicate that Tesla inventory is swelling, especially with Cybertrucks piling up outside their factory. Keep the boycott going, and don’t forget—today is the Economic Blackout!
