Somebody deposited over $72K into my bank account. I actually wondered if it could be legit! A girl can dream. Called the bank to start the ball rolling to begin an investigation. I figured someone out there would be in a panic because the deposit was last Saturday. A shit load of phone time today.

Well that’s kind of interesting.
CIVIC and CRV sales are up in Canada so much so that Honda of Canada manufacturing is scheduled overtime at its Alliston, Ontario plant for fall and winter 2025 to meet demand. 🤝🇨🇦

Fun fact: approximately 69% of Honda vehicles sold in Canada are built here.

Multi-level marketing is its own kind of evil. So many ‘nice’ people have been converted to the dark side. I sometimes wonder if they were very self focused to begin with and the concept amplifies that trait. I’m too old for it. No means no.

Today I used up the fresh basil and made pesto for the pasta. I did not experience basil pesto until I was in my 20s. Then pasta with basil pesto was super popular and on many menus. Do you remember when you first tasted basil pesto? Now it’s as ubiquitous as cell phones.

From an Ottawa Citizen article by Elizabeth Payne...

One longtime Conservative supporter told Fanjoy he was voting for him because “it is the shortest route to a Conservative leadership review.”

Definitely a strategy worth considering for Conservatives in PP's riding.

In 1912 my Danish maternal grandparents were honeymooning in the USA & planned to return back home in the latter part of April. Their return tickets back to Europe were for the Titanic. But, it never arrived in North America, sinking on April 15, and so they took another ocean liner back home.

Paul Chiang has to go. It’s not a difficult decision when you stand for integrity and what that means for this ‘new’ Liberal party under Prime Minister Carney’s leadership. @liberalca.bsky.social @mark-carney.bsky.social @gmbutts.bsky.social

We're having a dinner party and I'm sure there will be hearty discussion of world events. The only snowflakes will be these tuiles for the dessert. SpeakUp StandForDemocracy

The Mister and I ate a whole cauliflower for dinner. Google Whole Roasted Cauliflower With Tahini And Chimichurri. We recommend roasting at 450F at least. 40 - 45 minutes worked for us.

My package has seen more of Canada than me!
Started in Prince George, BC.
Then to Richmond, BC.
Then to Etobicoke, ON.
Then overshoots the destination (Ottawa, ON) and goes to Val D'or, QC.
Turned itself around and went to Mirabel, QC. Now in Ottawa. I'm holding my breath!

We're warming up with a fresh loaf of sourdough bread this morning. I use organic flour from Quebec.

Making quiche for dinner to use up Jarlsberg cheese, some onion bits (green, white and red), old eggs & leftover egg whites. Plus bacon from the freezer. I found oven roasted tomatoes when I went digging for the bacon. I accidentally added black pepper to my pie crust. It will be fine. All fine.

I'm starting to use up my surplus egg whites from our pasta making weekend. Amaretti go well with espresso or just a regular up of coffee. I freeze them so they last a bit.

The Mister and I make a good kitchen team. Lasagne production underway. Thomas Keller recipe for the dough. I now have 12 egg whites looking for purpose. I have plans! What would you do with them?

I thought my first Bluesky post should be super friendly. Yesterday I bought this box of chocolates for The Mister to gift him on Friday. White Pine Chocolates opened a week ago in Stittsville, Ontario. Wendy will impress you. Check her out on your socials.
