Human dignity is inviolable. Make the world you want to live in. There is no spare planet; progressive and reflective not mutually exclusive.
Brexit disaster.
The poorest migrants will be pushed into decades of limbo without any security while the wealthy get a red-carpet VIP lane under Mahmood’s new plan to curb immigration.
Farage must be fuming he didn’t package inequality this coherently

First snow of the season 😳😳

My skies can hold both dark clouds and clear skies at the same time.
Our planet can hold people of all cultures, beliefs, and views.
So why do our politicians insist on causing division over the very differences that naturally coexist?

This PRG and JTAC?

Why would anyone vote for a politician who wants to pull the UK out of the ECHR, the treaty that protects *their own* fundamental human rights?

That is not taking back control, that is giving it away.

Just like voting for Brexit was giving up their right to live, work and trade with 27 countries.

Something exquisite caught my eye in an auction book today.
A Philistine coin from around 333 BC, most likely from one of the coastal cities of Canaan, featuring the famous Athenian dekadrachm owl. The book doesn’t identify the male head on the obverse, perhaps a mystery waiting for me to uncover.

I have clear skies now with the moon glowing serenely and my favourite tree (the tall one intact).

My skies are graced with calm after the storm Amy.

But in Britain, a far more insidious tempest is gathering, a toxic brew of racism, false patriotism, confusion, desperation, and despair.
Unchecked, it is tearing the country apart.

How do you defend a nation from itself?

Hope you feel better soon. There is something weird going around, older one has a cold. But glad to hear you don’t have Covid, hubby got this year variant and it is a nasty one. Since you like spice, try a shot of this, …

These aren’t words of political resolve, but vindictive posturing. Democracy isn’t revenge, it is a debate.
There is menace in his tone, where is the mandate?

Already made caramelised apple butter 🥰 and also Thai soup for lunch ( had to 😏)
Maybe apple sauce after lunch which can be used as sweetener in cakes and also with pork.

🌳🍎 Apple harvest chaos this morning, picked from three trees (mostly off the ground, with bonus grass flavour), divided for my bestie and two pots. Now staring at my kitchen… jams, butters, chutneys… all the apple possibilities.
Meanwhile, lunch for WFH husband and me? Completely. not. interested.

Apologies to Martin Niemöller whose quote I changed. Here is his original.

Erdogan at the Arab Islamic emergency summit,
“The crimes of Israeli government has become a burden even to their most ardent supporters”.

“Israel’s war has become a threat not only to Gaza but to the whole world”.

Netanyahu & Rubio’s little press meeting looks quite insignificant in comparison.

“Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel”.

London is tired of these scoundrels polluting her streets.

They are not just immigrants, people of colour, or LGBTQ+.
They are Britain.
So who are you protesting against?
September 13, 2025 at 1:30 PM
Is it just me, or does everyone feel a burst of joy at the sight of a rainbow?

Johnson- Depraved and opportunistic.
Truss - Far-right and frankly a lunatic.
Sunak- Capitalism and Conservative.

What does Starmer stand for?
September 11, 2025 at 9:26 AM
Says the man who branded Palestine Action as terrorists for protesting UK arms sales to a state accused of war crimes.
And now he mourns a divisive far-right figure.

Where was this outrage when Hortman was assassinated? Seems like Starmer’s sympathies only extends to those who fits his politics.
September 11, 2025 at 9:18 AM
Starmer’s Labour is a “party of law and order”.
When did war crimes and genocide become legal?

What a joke!

Even behind dark clouds, the moon’s brilliance shines through.
Even when twisted, the truth endures.

Just as Earth’s shadow can’t eclipse the moon for long,
The lies of powerful men can’t bury facts forever.

You mean a straitjacket?

I thought the same over Angela Rayner.

Spotted this sign at a Dubai mall.
“People of Determination”

Sometimes the simplest words make the most powerful statement.
