i'd say its based on where you consider yourself to be from. my sisters and I conveniently are UK based so just use the greenwich meridian

I did it years ago on deckbox when my collection was a reasonable size, have added to it since and am now unsure of accuracy. Much the same as you the idea of checking/restarting is daunting
