LuLu's First Trip: She (mostly) tolerated the 2.5-hour drive like a zen master. She enjoyed her first puppacccino at the Starbucks drive-thru. She tromped through the woods on the property. She didn't mind the giant GPS tracker on her neck. And she made a new best friend to add to her collection.

Meet Merle, born Dec. 8, 1937. She was gifted to me by a friend whose mother owned her (hence her name). I just de-rusted, cleaned, and polished her up. Her exterior shows a lot of wear (no surprise) but she sews like a dream!

In The Folds Ormond Coat: I swapped the patch pockets for welt pockets and made quite a few alterations for fit. A couple of firsts for me - flat felled seams and welt pockets. A bit big, but happy overall. Fabric: Twill from Josephine's Dry Goods in Portland.
