Distraction as a political strategy works when one uses it sparingly & screws up rarely. Not when one uses it daily & screws up ten times a day. Everyone knows what it is & it only reminds them of your failures. Bubbles are bursting. Kool Aid is wearing off. Long way to go though.

#Frankenstein is visually spectacular with fine performances, especially by Jacob Elordi, Oscar Isaac, Mia Goth & Felix Kammerer. Well directed but screenplay could be better. A bit disappointed that Christoph Waltz was wasted despite decent set up. Still, film has a strong emotional core.

3 recommendations: 1. #AHouseOfDynamite is definitely realistic slick tense thriller with multiple pov narratives about a covert nuclear attack on US, directed by Kathryn Bigelow but it’s not Zero Dark Thirty. Open ended in this case is a bit of an anti climax but still crafty.
