I don't think for a moment that she's innocent at all. The way she speaks, the way she's presented in it, very much gives me the impression of a woman who has gotten away with it, and has zero regrets.

HOW DID I NOT SEE THIS NOTIFICATION?! I am so sorry to leave you hanging! I just watched the doc again last week too, with an aunt who hadn't seen it. Indrani Mukerjea makes me uneasy and puts me on edge, she's such a terrifying woman, especially how she presents herself in that doc.

Because these were not just plain old bustles, no. These were fashionable trunks that we attached to ourselves to store things in, and they were completely customizable. Mine, for instance, had a specifically refrigerated section that held half a dozen Diet Coke cans, so I was never without one.

I...it really does feel like it was specifically made to delight moi! Christine Baranski's "Heads have rolled for less" keeps on echoing in my mind.

....my only thought is "yikes" and that's mostly because I find myself incapable of forming any other coherent, intelligible thoughts after reading THAT. 😵‍💫

BUT. The biggest revelation to me has been Carrie Coon, who is giving an INCREDIBLE performance as Bertha Russell, a new money woman who is determined to break into New York society. It is such a beautiful, layered performance - strong and determined, very steely. You can't help but root for her.

I was obviously attracted to the show in the first place because it features the indomitable Christine Baranski, who can do NO WRONG, and also Cynthia Nixon. But there have been delightful surprises along the way, including Audra McDonald, Nathan Lane, and Jeanne Tripplehorn.

Blue Beetle #7 was just such a beautiful love letter to Keith Giffen's legacy, and Birds of Prey had some great moments, both funny and also tender. Scooby-Doo Mysteries is consistently the most fun book that DC's been putting out and Shazam had the Creeper and it was just...perfect.

Mon-Fri, I mainly tend to cook Indian food, because it's easier to pull together, especially for the whole family, but on the weekends, especially evenings like last night when the rest of the family was out and I was home alone, I like to indulge myself in foods that not everyone else would like.

I ended up with one slice left over for lunch, which I just had along with a very simple arugula salad - just arugula, toasted pine nuts, shaved parmesan, in a bright and zesty lemon juice and olive oil dressing. Some mint iced tea.
