I'm focused on the prevention of Alzheimer's disease in Down syndrome (DS-AD). I'm a younger sibling of an adult with Down syndrome, and I'll be keeping my feed up-to-date with the latest research on DS-AD that I find interesting.
Recall that in the A4 solanezumab secondary prevention study, only 29% of the individuals aged 65-85 that were screened with PET were Aß+ and eligible to continue. Its a reminder of the early, prevalent onset of #alzheimers pathology in Ds, and urgent need for prevention trials bit.ly/41HvIsu (2/2)
