Various continental, national and community organizations across Europe are tackling anti-Muslim hatred & it was valuable to hear about challenges and best practices from those dedicated to working for peaceful and cohesive societies. 🕊️

I presented on our work in 🇨🇦 during the Second Coordination Meeting on Combating Anti-Muslim hatred and racism co-organized by the European Commission and the Council of Europe, and attended by representatives from over 30 countries & organizations.

The HR30 Inaugural Conference: Empower Talk: Standing Against Hate & Embracing Rights was organized by Professor Ahmed Shaheed and the University of Essex and the Government of Albania.

I was pleased to share the experiences of Canadian Muslims, and the work we are undertaking to challenge these dangerous trends in our country at a groundbreaking meeting, speaking before the PM Albania, alongside UN and government officials, academics, and civil society from around the world.
