Sorry for you. But these stories can be heard in a lot of places. I am certainly not saying they have the best health treatment in the world. Far from it still. I am telling you my experience living here for 10 years in a area where i am the only foreigner.

But I have other experiences. I live in a village in Hebei, and we regularly visit a small hospital nearby for my son. My wife had surgery in Xianghe, and every time I was impressed. The healthcare system in China is really not that bad and, in my opinion, is improving.

Yes it cost something. But its not excessive. And with the crazy amount of people, the system is very efficient. Not perfect. But you don't have to wait for months to get treated.

I got operate at the heart last year at sino-chinese hospital in Beijing. I choose to go in the chinese section(not foreigner). I was treated very well. I come from a family in Quebec where both my parents are doctors. My mother was director of a hospital. i was impress with what i lived here.
