I feel like I should have a bio, but I have nothing pithy to say about myself.
I am acutely aware of my morality over the holidays.
I live alone and am not very sentimental about holidays. I don't have people that regularly check in with me. I think it would take at least a week for anyone to notice i was missing, but honestly probably longer.

Am I the only one that misses mall food courts? I miss having a cafeteria around too.

After getting over the shouty-ness of Dungeon Crawler Carl and enjoying that binge listen, and loving the Iron Druid series as ebooks, I have hit a streak of mid to downright bad books.
Trying other genres, but what is up with miserable forever romance, hockey assholes, and bastard cop worship?

"Strong floor, no ceiling" sounds like being outside in a concrete parking lot.
It sounds like and enthusiastic beginning, but no planning, no vision, no structure.
It sounds like giving up.

Maybe the AI consultant coming up with a Dem summary knows the party better than assumed.

The need to wear an open toed surgical shoe for another 4 days, and the 4" of snow is a very unfortunate combination. I am almost thinking the 80s bread-bag trick might be needed.

It is fascinating to read about societies where the whole value of a person, a family, a clan, a tribe, and a society is based on the responsibility of hospitality and to notice how far American culture is from that.

We are so broken from our humanity for hospitality to be so disrespected here.

The netherbrain battle in BG3 is such a comfort fight. I love it so much. I get to the end of a playthrough, and then I play it again and again.

Trump will pardon a drug kingpin, because they are rich, cruel kings.

He will murder the traffickers because they are mules and runners.

Totally different laws for different classes.

I took a 2 hour nap today, and am almost ready for bed now before 7:00.

What is up with this sleepiness?

Twin cities: Where do you like go to read book away from home?

A bit of background noise, but not too much.

I'm looking for specific suggestions. Which library, which coffeehouse, which lobby.

I really did not plan meals and groceries well around my surgery last Friday and thanksgiving tomorrow.

Is it just me or are their so many automated appointment reminders that it actually becomes harder to remember any given appointment?

AI writing copy with lots of contemporary slang is so bad.

I cannot tell if the voice overs for these AI slop ads are also AI or if these scripts were given to real 20something podcasters who are leaning into a stilted reading of a garbage script to get their money.

Listening to a strange audiobook series. I cannot decide if it is bland or cozy or if I like it.

It is novel background noise of people being nice to each other. It is odd because it is set right after a world changing apocalypse war, and the mission is to stop a Civil War, but everyone is nice.

I want reporters to ask their guests to provide evidence when they offer disjointed correlations or weird political associations.

Or at least ask them to define the terms they are using.

What do you mean by young adults rejecting the current "heavily regulated free market"?

How are we going to put any of the world back together again?

Almost 15% of MN kindergarten are not vaccinated with MMR, with large clusters in private schools.

That shows that rich people love their personal brand more than they care for their actual kids. That is wild.

Who the hell is going to Starbucks right now? Shame on you.
This is the easiest of all picket lines not to cross.

Some use the title of Journalist when they could be better describe as modern day courtesans.

The myth is that jails and prisons are really hard for pedos and for cops. I really hope the ICE pedos have an exceptionally hard time.

Reading a list of invitees to a Trump party with the title The Honorable for anyone in his cabinet is both laughable and horribly disturbing.

Funny how voice to text will transcribe ICE as Isis more often than not.

SSDD.

I am starting to wonder if Trump's pivot on the Epstein files is because he doesn't think he'll live through the end of the year.
