Seeking PhD programme in AMR (fungi).
Spotted some gorgeous oyster mushrooms on the way to get my flu and covid jabs today.

These were growing on some rotting wood in the gardens of our village church centre.

Aww! I appear to have hurt some people's feelings so much that they have added me to lists 🤣🤣🤣

Sorry for being a vocal woman who stands up for what she believes in /s.

I spent a few hours yesterday building my first Gunpla model. Opted to take advice and start with a high-grade model and found it simple and quite pleasant to build.

I fear I will be heading down yet another hobby rabbithole.

My model is the one on the right.

Quote this with a book you read way too young that explains why you are the way you are.

Forest #fungi on my early morning walk with the Husky.

She was very interested in these, but was easily distracted by the raspberry bush covered in fruit that she spotted.

Ice and Raven are doing likewise. Energy levels here are at zero.

And this is a cheeky dog.

She obviously thought lying on the coffee table was the coolest place in the house.

If you see this, quote with a robot that isn't from Star Wars, Star Trek, Dr Who, or Transformers

Hubby is off out to choir, I've finished my thesis corrections and submitted them to Uni, so now I get some time to myself with a cuppa, a podcast or two, and this month's copy of @senetmagazine.bsky.social

I grew up on hearing @realdollyparton.bsky.social at family gatherings.

The years of joy and pleasure given to so many by one woman are unrivalled.

An inspiration, with her imagination library, her Covid vaccine research donation, and other charitable deeds.

I have always been a fan of Jane Austen, in fact my daughter is named after my favourite character.

Last night, I was treated to the funniest, most irreverent, stage productions of one of her books.

Highly recommend Pride and Prejudice (sort of) should you have the opportunity to go see it.

Any of my T-shirts that show my love for hobby board games. I wear my geek with pride 🤣🤣

Beautiful Fomes fomentarius (or hoof fungus) spotted in my local woods this afternoon while out walking dog no2.

We've been arranging our collection like that for about 5 or 6 years now. Looks much cleaner and tidier than seeing a load of side on boxes.

Yesterday we made it through to the end of another campaign board game.

Stars of Akarios was touted as "Gloomhaven in space" but the reality was it fell far short of that.

It took us just over 1.5 years to play through, meeting almost every fortnight (minus holidays/illness).

Treated myself to the perfect LEGO set as a reward for submitting my thesis (something I have done with every achievement since my OU courses).

The evolution of STEM set is just wonderful, filled with so many easter eggs during the build.

Well, well, well. Look what the postie just delivered. The 5th anniversary edition of @senetmagazine.bsky.social.

Timing couldn't be better since I have just submitted my MSc Thesis and need some downtime.

I've not been procrastinating, I've been enjoying some much needed time off, before I dive into writing my MSc thesis next week.

I've been 3D printing for 8 years, always using other people's designs, but decided it was time I learned how to design my own stuff.

Behold! My first creation 😂😂

I haven't used a tower PC in decades. I have a laptop with a large external monitor, sit to stand desk, good chair, wireless mouse (ergonomic to minimise wrist strain). The laptop is on a riser so that its screen is level with the monitor (not shown in pic as this is during setup).

#Spotifywrapped for 2024.

I see a theme here 😂😂😂

Just a little snowfall overnight.

This was my street this morning when I attempted the commute to uni.

I am now home in the warmth, reading papers in my study.

I spent the past weekend in a hotel in Taunton attending the highlight of my gaming calendar.

Gridcon is organised and run by @gamingrules.bsky.social and 300 attendees from all over the world convene to play games and catch up with friends.

Recently, I got round to running my annual top 9 games over on Pubmeeple.

I have to say I was rather surprised at Dominant Species reclaiming the number 1 spot from Too Many Bones (which has dropped to 3rd below Age of Steam).

Yes, I am a heavy game girl, I like my games with some meat on them 😉

I find the codewords app/puzzle to be a good distraction when I need to move my focus from something that is stressful. I don't know what OS you use but it is available on Android for sure.

Took ourselves out to the theatre last night to see the Les Misérables Arena Tour production.

True to form I was a blubbing wreck as soon as "I dreamed a dream" started.

Was a great performance but I will always prefer the full stage show.
