The Constitution been using pronouns—we, us, ours—long before folks got mad about they/them. If it’s good enough to build a country, it’s good enough to respect identities…

Today in history, 2015: A white supremacist with a gun took nine precious lives from us during Bible study at Emanual African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, S.C. No place is safe from gun violence, not even places of worship.

Rest in power, beautiful souls. 🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️

Ironic how the NRA spent 70 years claiming the 2nd Amendment protects us from tyranny—and yet here we are. The message is clear: kneel to the orange demagogue and you’ll be pardoned. Dare to think outside that box, and it’s prison time. So much for liberty and justice for all.

Welcome to America, where protesting illegal kidnappings without due process is an insurrection, but attacking the nation’s Capitol is not.

If you’re publicly admitting that you didn’t know what you were voting on and now regret it—you’re not competent or qualified to serve in Congress.

This week, we are focused on fighting back against the erasure of Black history in our libraries, museums, and classrooms.

Al Gore didn’t hold back: The Trump admin is “attacking the heart of truth,” twisting facts like the Nazis did in the 1930s. From climate denial to rewriting the Ukraine war, it’s all about power—not reality.
Gore warned the U.S. is under siege—and every former leader should speak out like he did.

There’s no Alien Enemies Act exception to the Fourth Amendment.
The Justice Dept. has authorized law enforcement officers to GO INTO PEOPLE'S HOMES WITHOUT SEARCH WARRANTS if they suspect that someone is an "alien enemy"

I talked to @usatoday.com about Attorney General Bondi's "Guidance for Implementing the Alien Enemies Act," links below

I'm not saying journalists should never interview admitted propagandists. There are journalistic reasons to do so. But if we do, we must be prepared to -- in fact it is our duty to -- challenge vociferously all unsubstantiated claims. Otherwise, we ourselves become propagandists.

The MAGA leaders who claim to love America do not understand or believe in anything that makes this country great.

They are opposed to freedom of speech and competitive elections. They don’t love Americans or our ideals. They want to be kings in a country founded on revolution.

For MAGA, the ideals of freedom and democracy are just ad copy—a way to sell exploitation by a corrupt few. They don’t believe in any of our founding documents or ideals, or the right of the people to govern ourselves.

It’s all just fucking bullshit to them.

Note to editors and producers: If an executive order demands action that is illegal or outside of the president’s authority, then you should not describe it as ordering something. You should say it seeks to achieve some outcome and then note it is illegal or beyond the power of the president.
