It's awful. I despair. I made the mistake of reading the comments on a fb post about this and it just made me sad. It is a small minority but for me the majority are not vocal enough. We're not doing enough to get through to people.

Sorry if it wasn't clear but I wasn't criticising your vote share. I was pointing out that the rise of Reform needs to be a wake up call for SGP members, supporters, current and potential voters that we have a lot of work to do across Scotland.

Why do you keep putting scottish in inverted comas? Scottish Green policy supports independence. But I'm guessing you know this and your comment is in bad faith.

Tim Stanley was on Politics Live earlier this week and it should be a wake up call to anyone still trying to defend Labour's policies on immigration / asylum that even he thinks they're going too far. That's how far gone they are.

Thank you Patrick. You were the only Scottish Green I had heard of when I joined the party 10 years ago. I was impressed by your integrity and willingness to speak up for issues I cared about. Your part in the growth of the party shouldn't be underestimated.

I know this route and I wouldn't want to walk it. They should make him do it in November when it'll be dark, freezing and likely chucking it down. I'm all for active travel and if we had decent bus services it might not be so bad but the buses are awful. Need to back @betterbusesspt.bsky.social

Her comments further down the thread are eye opening. She basically says she knows her constituents are the recipients of propaganda and misinformation but claims there's no point in pointing out the truth it's simply easier to go along with it and villify a vulnerable group. Despicable.

I really hope councils take this on board but I feel they'll be slow to take these recommendations up. Wish there was a way to push them.

Greens need to step up and be the obvious choice for the left. It's a challenge for GPEW and SGP as we have nowhere near the financial backing of Reform nor the mainstream coverage that they get. Genuinely worrying.
