Today we wrote to the UN Independent Expert on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity alongside 16 other LGBTI+ equality & human rights organisations to raise concerns about the human rights of trans people right now in the UK since the Supreme Court judgment & the EHRC’s proposed Code of Practice.

The silence from @scottishlabour.bsky.social is utterly deafening and speaks volumes. They backed the GRR Act whilst it progressed through the Scottish Parliament, some have flip flopped on that since such as @anassarwar.bsky.social but since the Supreme Court Judgement.... Silence....

I personally think it's very dangerous for a British court to have essentially changed the law, I suspect in order to spare the government from having to do so in The Commons. The implication is that basically every legal protection is now under threat through this mechanism.
