This is Luna, she was an amazing mischief maker. She would start purring when she just was thinking about doing something she wasn't supposed to but was going to have SO MUCH FUN doing. She was my assistant hanging out on my desk when I worked from home, my study buddy through pharmacy school.

This pretty old lady had a... Productive... Visit to the vet a few weeks ago. We discovered that she has lost a POUND since March (she now weighs 9 pounds, which is ridiculously low for a cat as big as she is).

Unfortunately, looks like her diabetes is out of remission. Time for insulin again!

Taking my almost 17 year old cat, who has CKD and diabetes (in remission) to a new vet on Friday to get established and routine lab work done.

I hope they are awesome. I am way more nervous taking my old lady to a new vet than I was going to a new doctor myself

This boy obviously missed our morning couch snuggles. It's not *really* a couch, but we got a lounger that's close enough.

I can't wait until I am back on nights and can do this *after* work.

I was so stressed out while my Poppy was on insulin, I watched her like a hawk. We decided to do a trial of the freestyle libre - she absolutely hated it and dislodged it after 3 days, BUT it showed those three days she didn't need insulin at all and has been in remission since!

I hope today is better. It's hard to keep on track with lots of things sometimes. We're packing to move and I feel like every day is "I should have done more."

One of the first things we did for moving prep was get rid of the couch, but it was my primary place of providing snuggles to this old lady. My schedule has been totally thrown off and I want to be productive but taking some time to get her motor running is probably good for both of us.

I figured y'all would like to know that this old lady had her usual annual checkup and everything is stable. Kidneys stable, glucose was slightly high but diabetes is still in remission. Her liver enzymes are slightly high but have been stable over the last year. 16.5 years old, still going strong!

I never had cats who face planted to sleep until this set. I don't know how this is comfy but both he and his sister sleep like this.

Meet Poppy, my old lady (dilute tortie), Squeaks (white) and Growly (calico).

Squeaks appears to be looking at the back of the couch intently, but he is listening to birds and squirrels outside and deciding if he wants to go to one of the windows instead.
