Exhausted liberal; social scientist and lawyer by day, mediocre knitter and KDrama fan by night.

The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice . . . I hope.

Oh, and tell your dog I said “Hi.”
Yup.

#Kdrama law shows are great for legal ethics hypotheticals. I based last year's exam on one of the episodes in #ExtraordinaryAttorneyWoo and a lawyer's obligations when representing a client with diminished capacity -- the son with serious autism.

It was the story about Eun Gyeong having represented Yu Ri's father in the divorce; then the father's girlfriend wants to hire Eun Gyeong.

I changed some facts to make it impossible for Eun Gyeong to take the GF's case; it would be a conflict of interest under US rules.

Wish I could watch it again for the first time! Definitely in my top 10! ❤️

That was so disappointing. I just kept thinking “she had Ji Chang Wook (in Suspicious Partner) but now she’s got this guy?”

Having said that, I am using an episode in my Legal Ethics exam so I am very grateful to the writers. 🤭

It was the one thing that kept me watching until the end. But I swear it took a year off my life.

There are a lot of haters for that drama on Reddit — mostly because of the age difference. I don’t get it. She’s hilarious — her hair is like a complete character in and of itself in the show. Makes me laugh every time she appears.

What a terrible waste of a really good performance. He was so good, but that drama was so bad.

Maybe the scene I’ve rewatched most often. The kiss is fantastic and just one layer of everything that’s going on. And the music!!! A perfect scene — 10 out of 10.

I was thinking about the cinematography for Jane’s challenge — Sueng Hwi’s performances were just beautifully filmed. My only complaint is that there should have done more of them.

Definitely one of my all-time favorites, but there’s a lot of fast-forwarding when I watch it.

It definitely made me a fan-for-life of both Im Ji Yeon and Choo Young Woo. She can do literally anything.

My take on the general idea of having for-profit companies involved in the field:
Letting Silicon Valley Geoengineer the Atmosphere Will End Badly
We already have plenty of evidence of what happens when things better left to governments — which in this case might decide to never flip the switch at all — are ceded to private industry.
